On
19 September 1915 ERNST REIME started the mechanical production of
precision tools. To ensure the competitiveness and therefore the success
of the company in the long term, the founder made innovation a high
priority right from the start. The idea has been to offer something new
all the time. That principle is still true today.
Under the NORIS trade name the developments
of ERNST REIME quickly gained international acclaim. In 1936 the company
founder amazed the trade world at the Leipzig Exhibition with grooved
thread taps - the NORIS-INNENSPAN and the NORIS-STABIL thread taps. A
short time later these were followed by the NORIS-SPANLOS. By the way - these innovations are still an integral part of the NORIS range as a result of their technical perfection. Other historical highlights include the development of the NORIS-TOP-SPEED, a thread tap for cutting speeds of up to 100 m/min,
and the NORIS-SALO-REX UNI, the first blind hold thread tap that can cut the most diverse materials equally as well. ERNST
REIME also proved his competence in the ever more popular segment of
thread milling. The NORIS UNIversal thread mill can produce a core hole,
protective countersink and the thread in both short and long chip
materials with just one operation. Today we regard it as our
duty to continue the work of ERNST REIME responsibly. We do so in full
knowledge of the strengths that have characterised the company for over
90 years - quality, innovation and precision.
